Courage, hope, friendship: this famous fairy tale is an incredible medley of moods. The music underlines some chapters of this story. A symphonic poem that wants to honour Mr. L. Frank Baum. He did outline not only a Great Wizard of Oz , but also a Great Humbug: every medal has its reverse.

This project has a cinematographic connotation. The formulation of each piece follows a mental path settled. The four titles, instead, reflect my personal feeling during the composition: open spaces, altitudes.
